It is easy to get to Wadi Rum by car: the highway exit is not far away and the road up to the Visitors Center and beyond, up to the visitor parking lot located at the entrance to Wadi Rum Village is in perfect condition . The only recommendation: pay attention to the numerous bumps located both on the motorway and on normal roads, which are often not signposted!
For the itinerary to follow, we advise you to use Google Maps or any other GPS navigator.
Once arrived at the Wadi Rum Village, you can park you car during all the time you will spend in the Protected Area. Parking is totally SAFE and FREE OF CHARGE!
BUS CONNECTIONS WITH WADI RUM:
FROM/TO PETRA:
A Minibus runs daily between Wadi Musa and Wadi Rum village in the early morning. It is a door to door bus service. The driver picks you up from your hotel in Wadi Musa between 6 and 6.45 AM, and you arrive at Rum village around 9 AM. Tickets cost 10 JOD per person. You can book it calling this number: +962 779186928
JETT BUS provides daily rides from Petra Visitors Center to Wadi Rum Visitors Center at 5 PM. Ticket costs 15 JOD; You can buy tickets at their office on site.
FROM/TO AQABA
A Minibus covers this service every day – NO SERVICE ON FRIDAYS – from the Aqaba Bus Station at about 1 PM (it departs as soon as the bus is full so timetable can be stretched) and arrives at the Village at about 2:30 PM. Ticket costs 5 JOD.
Same Minibus departs from Wadi Rum Village evey day but Fridays at about 6 AM, getting to Aqaba at about 7:30 AM.
• AQABA – WADI RUM and WADI RUM – AQABA: From 30 to 50 JOD depending on WHERE in Aqaba (City Center 25/30 JOD, Tala Bay or Airport 45 JOD, Wadi Araba Border with Eilat 50 JOD)
• WADI MUSA/PETRA – WADI RUM: 45 JOD
• DEAD SEA – WADI RUM – 110 JOD
• AMMAN – WADI RUM – 110 JOD
