Trekking In The Wild

Two Adventurous Days in the Wadi Rum Desert. To discover walking and trekking all the incredible places this precious environment offers to us. In between an unforgettable bivouac-dinner and a sleeping under million of stars.

Day 1:
Our representative will meet you at the Wadi Rum Visitor’s Center and assist in your transfer to Rum Village, or we meet you at the Rest House in Wadi Rum Village when you come with your own transfer or taxi.
Here you will meet one of our professional trekking guides.
Though our trekking guides are not all fluent in the English language, they all maintain a professional knowledge of the desert, its sites and their work.

Starting in Rum Village, the hike traverses the red sands of Wadi Rum valley and includes visits to the following sites of interest:

Shalaleh Spring a mountain spring overlooking Rum Village
Lawrence Spring a spring from whence Lawrence of Arabia is reputed to have drunk, also the site of ancient rock art – a typical stop for lunch, a rest and sweet Bedouin tea.
Red Sand Dune area – make a stop to climb the sand dunes and run back down them!
Khazali Canyon, explore the gorge in this sandstone mountain, site of ancient rock art dating to 300BC.

During the excursion we will provide a bivouac traditional lunch with Bedouin tea and coffee and some relax to end, at sunset time in an outdoor bivouac camp with dinner ant tea, under a magnificent starry night. We will provide mattress and blankets to ensure you a comfy sleeping over the night.

Day 2:
Breakfast in the bivouac camp, then Trekking Adventure will take the group to new challenges:

Heading to the Protected Area’s Wilderness Zone to get to

It rises up some 15 m from the desert floor, it is one of the most photographed places in Wadi Rum.
Then our guide will find a good place to establish a Lunch Bivouac, cooked at the moment following the Bedouin tradition and served with our beautifully tasty tea.
After a brief resting our experience will take us to

Jebel Al Qattar

scramble up to a mountain spring to enjoy spectacular views of the red sands of Wadi Rum.

Descend from the ridge heading to our fixed camp, located close to Jebel Al Qattar at the edge of the Wilderness Zone.

At our fixed camp, you may go for a wander in the nearby cliffs, watch the sunset or relax around a campfire, before enjoying a traditional Bedouin dinner with tea. After dinner, conversation often lingers late around the campfire, as we gaze up at the magnificent night sky.
Your guides can also be convinced to share traditional Bedouin music and stories…

After a restoring resting in the Tent Camp we will have a nice breakfast, some spare time to look around and take more pictures, then you will be drove back to the starting point, Wadi Rum Village.

You can even decide to stay longer, till the fallowing day, to experience a Camel ride, a Sand Boarding or other Experiences.. Just let us know, we’ll provide you every information!
